First TROLLEY City-Industry-Summit
On October 21, 2010 the first City-Industry-Summit of the TROLLEY project took place in Parma, Italy. Welcomed by the local public transport operator TEP S.p.A. and Mr. Mackinger from the Lead Partner Salzburg AG, several representatives from trolleybus cities and industry discussed new developments and innovations and exchanged their experiences in the field of trolleybus systems. Speeches were held by the Italian public transport association ASSTRA and the trolleybus operator ATM Milan about the “national situation” with regard to trolleybus systems in Italy or Milan respectively. The event was closed off by three presentations of innovations by industry representatives from Elektroline a.s., Vossloh Kiepe Srl. and the Railway Service GmbH. The first summit in Parma was a kick-off for an annual communication process between relevant trolleybus stakeholders such as cities, public transport operators, manufacturers, energy providers and industry, aiming at increasing the mutual exchange of local needs on the one hand, and available technical solutions provided by the industry on the other.
