New TROLLEY publication available

As the latest publication the Transnational Manual on Advanced Energy Storage Systems is now available for download on the TROLLEY website. The manual consists of three separate parts.

Introduction: An overview on energy storage technologies in the catenary grid of light rail and trolleybus systems.

Part I: A report on on-board energy storage technologies for trolleybus systems including supercapacitors and lithium-ion batteries for Europe's first "trolley-hybrid-bus". The report includes insights from the TROLLEY partners TEP [Parma, IT] and Barnim Bus Company [Eberswalde, DE].

Part II: A report on stationary energy storage technologies for trolleybus systems with contributions and insights from the TROLLEY partners in Eberswalde [DE] and Gdynia [PL].
