UITP - International Association of Public Transport

UITP is the international organisation for public transport authorities and operators, policy decision-makers, scientific institutes and the public transport supply and service industry. UITP covers all modes of public transport: metro, bus, light rail, regional and suburban rail and waterborne transport and acts as a platform for worldwide co-operation, business development and the sharing of know-how between 3,100 members from 90 countries. UITP is the global advocate for public transport and sustainable mobility and the promoter of innovations in the sector.

Electric Trolleybus Group

VÖV UTP - Public Transport Association (Verband Öffentlicher Verkehr)

The Public Transport Association based in Bern, Switzerland, is the national umbrella organization of local public transport operators. Founded in 1889, its members are 130 public transport operators and ca. 180 business and industry enterprises. VÖV UTP represents the interests of their members towards politics, authorities and third parties. It provides a platform for exchange of experience between its members and promotes customer-friendly public transport.

VDV - Union of German Transport Companies (Verband Deutscher Verkehrsunternehmen)

The VDV is the umbrella organisation for German public transport operators and operators of freight transport (mainly focused on railroad freight transport). In the current structure, the association has existed since 1991 and is giving advice to its members, promoting the exchange of experiences, and it is designing technical, operational, legal and economical principles aiming at reaching the best possible operation. It represents the interests of its members towards parliaments, authorities, industry and other institutions. The association is based in Cologne with branches in Brussels and Berlin.
