In the context of public transport, several TROLLEY partners are confronted with a situation where their trolleybus-based public transport systems either run at their capacities or do not match the requirements in terms of their technical or environmental situation anymore or with regard to passenger needs.

Reshaping the Image

Facing the often negative perception of and attitude towards trolleybuses, in particular on the political level, it is the strong desire of all partners, through TROLLEY, to reshape and transfer the image of trolleybus systems as sustainable new standard public transport means and a ready-to-use technology with regard to electric mobility.

Tackling Operational Challenges

Resulting from this awareness, all partners will elaborate and implement innovative concepts tackling still existing operational challenges such as low speed in curves or the relatively high price of vehicles.
